Call for Proposals - CLOSED (on September 1, 2020)
We hope you are staying safe during this unprecedented time. Those of you who completed our June member needs survey indicated a strong interest in holding some sort of online event in the fall to continue what has become an invaluable networking opportunity. We are moving forward with planning for an online event to be held in October.
In the spirit of entrepreneurship, we are doing our best to innovate, especially identifying opportunities to think differently about how an online conference might work. We have yet to announce a date because we intend to split the conference into sessions throughout the month of October, making at least part of the live conference accessible to attendees around the world. We also are evaluating apps that will make the experience feel a little more personal.
We can't have a conference without presenters. That’s where we need your help and participation. Please consider submitting a proposal to present at the conference. We understand submitting a proposal without a firm date and time can be a challenge. We will do our best to find an acceptable time for all accepted proposals.
SAEE believes in the need for an actively anti-racist and inclusive society. The SAEE conference is about listening and sharing. Arts Entrepreneurship Education engages students, alumni, faculty and staff that represent many lived experiences. We welcome conference proposals for sessions that include ways of assuring that Black, Indigenous, people of color, LGBTQ+, and women see themselves within our classrooms, our co-curricular work, and through our research.
We could use your help getting the word out. If you have a colleague who is working on cutting-edge research, innovative pedagogy, building a resilient community, or doing something really cool in practice, please encourage them to apply.
More details about registering for the conference will be forthcoming. If you would like to know more or are ready to go, read on for details about submitting. Please submit your proposal by Tuesday, September 1. Please contact us if you have any questions: societyaee@gmail.com.
Online Conference Host: California Lutheran University
